Lost is standing on Entoto
To look down the meadow below;
 
Lost is taking the cattle to Finfinne
To water at the mineral spring;

Lost is gathering on Daalattii hill
For Gullallee congress (Gada assembly);

Lost is crossing over to Gafarsa
To gather firewoods;

Lost is grazing our calves
In the Boombii field;
 
The year the people came
Even our cattle died;

Since Meshesha came
Lost is our dignity.
